Ludlow Castle

Mighty medieval ruins

Ludlow Castle

At the heart of the atmospheric market town of Ludlow, famous for its food and black and white buildings, the castle was first a Norman fortress and then a fortified palace.

Now in ruins, but retaining its walls and footprint, the castle is owned by the Earls of Powis and hosts many festivals during the year.
