Clun Castle
Ruins & border town
The ruins and earthworks of Clun’s 11th century Welsh border castle are above the attractive town of Clun with a castle keep dating from the 13th century. Admire the 15th century stone packhorse bridge over the river dividing the town, visit the museum to see Neolithic and Bronze Age tools, wander along the High Street and have a bite at one of the eateries – the Maltings Cafe is one.
The Green Man Festival is held in May and the Clun Carnival and Show is in August.
