Sudeley Castle
Medieval magic

Less than twenty minute’s drive from Broadway, this beautiful castle is a treasure with fabulous gardens. It’s the only private castle in England to have a queen buried in the grounds - Queen Katherine Parr, the last and surviving wife of King Henry VIII – who lived and died here.
In November and December the magical grounds are illuminated after dark on a trail with sound and light features including flickering flames in the Queen’s Garden, coloured fountains and a Carpet of Colour. Just gorgeous and atmospheric, too.
Sip spiced mulled wine or hot chocolate as you follow the trail and enjoy take away hot food and doughnuts from the Castle Terrace!
