North Cotswolds

Stanaway House, Stanway, Gloucestershire

Designated as an Area of Outstanding Beauty (AONB), the beautiful Cotswold Hills rise high above the Vale of Evesham and the Severn Valley.

The region is famous for walking trails including the Cotswold Way and gorgeous town and village streetscapes of signature honey-coloured stone buildings. The stone used for building is from the hills – a contrast to the black and white half-timbered and brick houses to the north and west.

Fitting together like a jigsaw puzzle, the odd shapes of the counties mean you dip in and out of several regularly, especially where Warwickshire and Worcestershire include parts of the North Cotswold Hills. From Stratford or Broadway it’s a given that you’ll include this part of the world in your travels.
