Pershore
Market town & abbey
Pershore is an attractive market town on the River Avon, about 21 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, 10 miles from Worcester and 6 miles from Evesham. The High Street, Bridge and Broad Streets feature Georgian architecture, independent shops such as Tappers shoes, covered markets and many pubs and eateries.
The historic Angel Hotel bar and restaurant, Jimmy Pickles legendary fusion curries, Benvenuti at Belle House and The Deli sandwich bar are some foodie faves.
Walk or drive round to historic Pershore Abbey, an Anglo-Saxon abbey, now a church. It’s a beautiful place with soaring ceilings and gorgeous stained glass windows.
Nearby, walk in ancient Tiddesley Wood, visit Croome Court, drive to Upton-upon-Severn and on to the Malvern Hills.
