Spring: Mar, Apr & May
Spring – March, April, May – is a beautiful time with the leaves reappearing on the trees, daffodils, primroses and bluebells flowering in hedgerows and woodlands, tulips and pansies brightening parks and gardens.
See fruit trees in bloom in The Vale of Evesham, following the 40 mile (70.8 Km) AA signposted Vale of Evesham Blossom Trail to see the soft pink of cherry and apple trees and the white of pear and plum, around mid March to mid May.
In addition to the events below, bookworms should be sure to check out the Stratford-upon-Avon Literary Festival.
The internationally acclaimed Hay-on-Wye Literary Festival is held over ten day at the end of May, beginning of June. Hay is a pretty town on the Herefordshire/Welsh border on the River Wye and a destination at the northern end of Hereford’s gorgeous Golden Valley Way drive.
