Seasons, Festivals & Events

Asparagus Festival, Vale of Evesham

Spring, summer and autumn are favourite times – and daylight saving (end March to end September) adds welcome extra hours to the day. Around the Christmas and New Year festive season find decorated streetscapes and shops, cosy accommodation, winter frosts. Birmingham is a shopping magnet all year with major stores and niche outlets.

Mid April/May/June are beautiful months and quieter before school holidays (July/August). September/October likewise, after school holidays. Keep in mind airline high and low seasons and search for flights just outside the peak times. Travelling with families, book well ahead for the best fares.

The Midlands loves to celebrate and there’s always a festival, show, carnival or celebration of some sort, large or small somewhere through the year.
